Four Horizons, A Visit To Le Corbusier’s Chapel At Ronchamp is a new book by John Christie gathering four voices: John Berger, Sister Lucia Kuppens, Sister Telchilde Hinckley and John Christie. Published by Objectif Press in June 2026.

In 2009 John Berger visited Le Corbusier’s pilgrimage Chapel, Notre-Dame du Haut, at Ronchamp in eastern France. His companions on the trip were SisterLucia Kuppens and Sister Telchilde Hinckley, two Benedictine nuns from Connecticut, and John Christie. Their journey together was a kind of pilgrimage, both spiritual and architectural and transcripts of the conversations they had together at Ronchamp record the lasting impact this remarkable building and its architect Le Corbusier had on the four of them.

With many photos, this dialogue is also completed with texts by Teju Cole and Paul Clarke and an unpublished text by John Berger.
